These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of typecut.ai and the Typecut application (the “Service”), operated by Typecut (“Typecut,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Typecut is a script-first editor that helps you build long-form videos using motion design, AI generation, and third-party assets. The Service is provided on an evolving basis and may change over time.

Your account

You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

Your content

You retain ownership of the scripts, media, and projects you create (“Your Content”). You grant Typecut a limited license to host, process, and render Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service. You represent that you have the rights to all inputs you provide and that they do not infringe the rights of others.

AI-generated output & third-party assets

Output is generated by AI and may incorporate third-party stock or sourced assets. We do not guarantee that output is unique, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. You are responsible for reviewing output and for ensuring you have the necessary rights and licenses for any third-party assets before publishing or distributing.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to create or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, hateful, or that violates the rights of others; to abuse, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service; or to circumvent usage limits or security measures.

Plans, credits & billing

Paid plans and credits are billed through Stripe. Fees are charged in advance and, except where required by law, are non-refundable. We may change pricing with reasonable notice. You can cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Typecut and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Typecut will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Typecut harmless from claims arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that may cause harm. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
