This Privacy Policy explains how Typecut (“Typecut,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use typecut.ai and the Typecut application (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile information provided by Google.
Content you create. Scripts, prompts, projects, generated videos, uploaded media, and related metadata.
Usage data. Log data, device and browser information, and how you interact with the Service.
Payment information. Billing is processed by Stripe; we do not store full card details ourselves.
Cookies & analytics. We use essential cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to operate and improve the Service.

How we use your information

To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service; to generate and render the videos you create; to process payments; to communicate with you about your account and the Service; to prevent abuse and fraud; and to comply with legal obligations.

AI processing

Typecut generates video using AI. Prompts, scripts, and media you submit may be processed by our infrastructure and by third-party AI model providers to produce your output. Do not submit content you do not have the rights to use, or confidential information you are not permitted to share.

Service providers (sub-processors)

We share data only as needed with providers who help us run the Service, under appropriate safeguards. These include, among others: Supabase (authentication & database), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in), Resend (email delivery), object storage and rendering infrastructure, and third-party AI generation and stock/asset providers used to produce your videos. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing (including rights under the GDPR and CCPA). To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
